The original purpose.
We started with protection but stayed for the transformation. Nordic Chem began as a protective treatment for the exterior of buildings exposed to harsh environments including salt, pollution, weather, and heavy footfall. The goal was to prevent premature wear, extend surface life, and reduce ongoing maintenance.
Our evolution.
From there, the technology moved into the automotive sector, becoming the first SiO2 ceramic coating safe and simple enough for DIY users, a breakthrough that proved just how easy it was to apply without sacrificing performance. During the COVID 19 pandemic, the formula was adapted again, helping protect high traffic indoor spaces like hospitals, schools, and transport hubs with long lasting antimicrobial action. But the most important shift came after COVID, when we began working directly with commercial cleaning teams. We returned to our roots, protecting buildings, with a new focus: helping cleaners reduce labour, simplify routines, and deliver better results. Nordic Chem is a founding brand of Nordic Works, a company built to redesign how cleaning gets done through smarter chemistry, intelligent systems, and practical support for the people doing the work.
